With some of the world celebrating Thanksgiving at this time of year, I was reflecting on how thankful I am to have the lifestyle I have. I have a loving family, live in a beautiful country and I am fortunate to have found a wonderful company in Stampin' Up!, with the ability to design my business to fit my family's needs while making an income. In fact, was the extra income bought in by my business that meant that my husband and I were able to take our three kids on their first overseas trip...

A couple of weeks ago we were very fortunate to spend a very warm and sunny seven days in Fiji. In honour of that event, this week I created a card with the Fijian Frangipani flower on the front...

Sculpting flowers is not my forte and it took quite a few attempts to get the colouring and shaping right. I think I did pretty well! I used the Festive Flower Builder Punch for the petals of my Frangipani, which I sponged with Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie inks to get the deep, golden centre that these flowers have. Who knew that the same punch that created a gorgeous Poinsettia can also create a beautiful tropical flower?
