Let's take a look at one of the new 2015-2017 In Colors... Cucumber Crush.

This card compares Cucumber Crush with three other current Stampin' Up! colours...

Cucumber Crush is a crisp, apple green that is warmer and brighter than Garden Green. Less yellow than Old Olive and more saturated than Wild Wasabi, match Cucumber Crush with Real Red for bright, fresh Christmas projects.

To coordinate with the Cucumber Crush card, I used the new Envelope Paper and the Envelope Punch Board... that wood-grain pattern goes well with the tree-theme going on on my card.

Here's another card I created using Cucumber Crush and the Sprinkles of Life stamp set. This time instead of trees, I used the cone, cloud image and the Tree Builder Punch to create an ice cream card for my nephew's birthday...

This layout is similar to the cards we created at the June Creative Stamping Workshops but because it's for my nephew, instead of girly colours and the Tea Lace Doily, I picked the bright colours from the Cherry on Top DSP Stack (Cucumber Crush, Bermuda Bay, Pool Party and Crushed Curry) and embossed the background with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder to match the chosen DSP pattern...

The flag on the front got the washi tape treatment with the matching Cherry on Top Designer Washi Tape. There's also washi tape inside the card, which is a really great way of bringing the bright, fun colours and patterns from the outside, inside.
