The Summer Mini Catalogue is here! Here is one of the products found in the Summer Mini - Sweet Treat Cups. Used in conjunction with the new 1-3/4" Circle Punch, they can add dimension and small gifts to your cards. Also in the Summer Mini are padded envelopes specially designed for cards using the Sweet Treat Cups.
The Sweet Treat Cups have an adhesive stip on the back of them so, once you have put in what you want, you can stick it to the front of your card. Then you can used the 1-3/4" Circle Punch to punch out a circle from card in a complimentary colour and adhere that over the top to cover up the edges of the Sweet Treat Cup. Very easy. However, with this method you will need to destroy the card to get to the gift. Another way to do it is to create a trap door in the card so that the recipient can get whatever you placed in there out without pulling the card apart.
Here is one idea on how I used the Sweet Treat Cup for a Christmas card. On the side of the card there is a tab which can be pulled. This opens a door on the inside of the card, which releases the lollies. This is one of the projects we will be doing for the December workshops.
There are so many (small) things other than "sweets" that you can gift in these. Over the last couple of weeks, a number of fellow demonstrators have been pooling their ideas on what you can put in a Sweet Treat Cup...
