Our family doesn't celebrate Valentine's Day in the traditional way, which is usually celebrated by couples. In our family, each member (parents and kids) have a card created for them prior to the day (or they make their own) and then each of us writes a message of love and appreciation in them. On Valentine's Day we have a special meal together where we open and read our cards.

This year for Valentine's Day, I have created five easel cards...

Each of these cards are personalised for the recipient. Firstly, the five cards are in different colours, drawn from the Sweet Sorbet DSP: Pistachio Pudding, Sahara Sand, Summer Starfruit, Crisp Cantaloupe and Pool Party. And secondly, our names hold up the easel portion of the card. I created these letters using the Simply Pressed Clay and an alphabet silicone mould...

The front of the easel cards have four small envelopes that I made using the Envelope Punch Board and the Sweet Sorbet DSP (which is free during Sale-A-Bration with a qualifying order*)...

Over the next few days, these envelopes will be filled with messages of love, ready for the recipient to open on Valentine's Day. Here are the little cards I created to pop in the envelopes; these four were stamped to coordinate with the Summer Starfruit card (the one with "MUM" on it)...

This photo is deceptive as these cute little cards are quite tiny; closed they measure 3.5 cm across and 3 cm high! The hearts are a stamp from the Language of Love stamp set, found in the Occasions Catalogue, which can be conveniently punched out with the Small Heart Punch. Here are some of the cards in the four other coordinating colours...

Now I need start writing some "love" messages to my hubby and kids...
