I made a number of Christmas presents this year and these canvas chalkboard artworks are my favourite. I made this inspirational one for my father-in-law...
... and this one is for my brother-in-law's new "Man Cave"...
They were fun to make, although a little time-consuming. I started by preparing the canvas with a couple of coats of black acrylic paint. I then sketched out the design on paper and transferred it onto the canvas. The "chalk" design was written using a White Chalk Stampin' Marker and the artwork completed by sponging the canvas with Whisper White Craft ink. To protect the finished chalkboard art I spayed it with a clear-matt sealer.
I love having good-quality crafting products to create gifts and "off-the-page" creations.
