The fourth new In Color we will explore is... Coastal Cabana.

I have used the colour-blocking technique again to compare Coastal Cabana with three other current Stampin' Up! colours...

Coastal Cabana is a pretty blue-green that reminds me of the seaside. It is more saturated and richer than Pool Party, but not as dark as Island Indigo. Coastal Cabana is a clear, crisp colour to compliment the bluer Tempting Turquoise.

This card also features a relatively new trend in crafting - mosaics and quatrefoils. Recognising this, Stampin' Up! released a whole suite of products in the 2013-2014 Annual Catalogue dedicated to this stylish fad...

I used Coastal Cabana to create a card for a friend who has recently had a baby boy. The softness of this colour really lends itself to baby cards...

For this (mostly) monochromatic card I used Coastal Cabana card stock and ink, and stamped "it's a boy" in the darker Bermuda Bay, which is a new colour to the Brights Collection. I just love the butterfly accent in Calypso Coral. And did you notice the handprint focal-point?

This is the Simply Pressed Clay again! To create this, I rolled the (uncoloured) clay into a ball, flattened it out into a round disc and pressed the handprint stamp from the Baby Prints stamp set into the clay. Once dry, I adhered clay to the 2-3/8" Scallop Circle using Crystal Effects (this doubles as a good strong glue, and I don't want it to fall off!).
