With Valentines Day just around the corner, a lot of the cards I have created lately feature hearts! Which is not all to surprising. But it sure came in handy when we celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary last week. Here's the card I make for my hubby...
Stamps: Itty Bitty Banners (wood: 126255, clear: 126257). Card/Paper: Naturals White (129588), Cherry Cobbler (121681). Ink: Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Classic Stampin' Pad (126966). Accessories: Rhinestone Basic Jewels (119246), Early Espresso Baker's Twine (123124). Tools: Big Shot (113439), Fashionable Hearts Embosslits (125596), Simply Scored Scoring Tool (122334), Simply Scored Borders Scoring Plate (126192), 3/16" Corner Punch (119871), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430).
I used the Fashionable Hearts Embosslit to die-cut hearts out of Naturals White, a lovely flecked card stock. I then adhered the hearts onto Naturals card stock, creating a tone-on-tone look. Then to "hold the hearts together" I scored a border above and below using the new Borders Scoring Plate accessory for the Simply Scored. This close-up shows the textures really well and the scored zig-zag lines below the hearts...
