It was my daughter's birthday last week and, using similar colours to the Happiest Birthday card, I made this card for her...
Stamps: Apothecary Art (wood: 127506, clear: 125527). Card/Paper: Baja Breeze (116207), Pink Pirouette (116203), Watercolour Paper (122959). Ink: Jet Black StazOn (101406), Riding Hood Red (111836), Pink Pirouette (111838), Crumb Cake (121030). Accessories: Riding Hood Red 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon (125569), Basic Black 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon (109027), Pearl Basic Jewels (119247), Baja Breeze Stampin' Write Marker (120965), Subtles Watercolor Wonder Crayons (119802). Tools: Big Shot (113439), Labels Collection Framelits Dies (125598), Adorning Accents Edgelits Dies (125595), Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folders (125601), Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (118309), Color Spritzer Tool (107066), Blender Pens (102845), Simply Scored Stylus (125624), Sponge Daubers (102892), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755), Sticky Strip (104294), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430).
To get the two-toned card front, I first cut the bottom off the Baja Breeze card using one of the Adorning Accents Edgelits and then embossed the edge with the matching embossing folder. After embossing a piece of Pink Pirouette card stock with another of the Adorning Accents embossing folders (the pretty heart one!), I layered it underneath.
The flowers were made using the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. I punched out Riding Hood Red with the four-petal flower and Pink Pirouette with the eight-petal flower and daubered the petal edges in the matching ink. I then used a stylus (from the Simply Scored Scoring Tool) and mat pack to round and cup the flowers. To finish, I added a self-adhesive half-pearl and some Tombow to hold the flowers on the card front.
I loved making this card and she loved recieving it. Plus I had fun playing with some of the the new products from the Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue. Win-win!
