One of the new In Colors is Pool Party - a cool pale blue with a hint of green. Let's compare this new colour with similar colours from our current collections...

Bashful Blue, Baja Breeze, Pool Party, Old Olive

Left to right: Bashful Blue, Baja Breeze, Pool Party, Old Olive.

As you can see, Pool Party (third from the left) is not a clear blue like Bashful Blue (first on the left) but is closer in hue to Baja Breeze (second from the left). Although Pool Party has a hint of green, it is definitely still a lovely pale blue.

A friend had a baby boy last week so I paired Pool Party with So Saffron, Wild Wasabi and Not Quite Navy to make this New Baby card...

This card has so much dimension (and Stampin' Dimensionals!). I stamped the pram from the Baby Bundle stamp set three times, one on the card front and two on watercolour paper. I coloured and cut out the pram on the watercolour paper and layered it up paper-tole style!

The pennants across the top of the card are also layered up...

These pennants are from a great little stamp set called Pennant Parade (see page 37) and there is a matching Petite Pennants Builder punch, which punches out both the inside triangle of the pennant and the scalloped outside (see page 153).

I do like Pool Party and it goes so well many of our current colours and the new In Color collection.
