When I saw the colour combination for the Just Add Ink challenge this week, I knew I would make something for it...
At first glance, Cherry Cobbler and Daffodil Delight look at odds with each other, but the Color Coach suggests using them together. I followed this suggestion when I made the lovely and bright Valentines Card in Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight and Early Espresso.
This time I decided to tone it down and, instead of bright, I wanted a more subtle card. I used the gorgeous Bliss Sale-a-bration stamp set (which is free until the end of March when you place an order over $120), crochet trim and a pewter Build-A-Brad to make this card...
Stamps: SAB Bliss (wood: 123282, clear: 123217). Card/Paper: River Rock (121685), Cherry Cobbler (121681), Whisper White (106549), River Rock DSP (Neutrals DSP Patterns Stack: 117157). Ink: River Rock (121030). Accessories: River Rock Stampin' Write Marker (120972), Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Marker (119681), Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Marker (119677), Chantilly Crochet Trim (118480), Pewter Build-A-Brad (109128). Tools: Scallop Trim Border Punch (118402), 1/2" Circle Punch (119869), Sponge Daubers (102892), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430).
The Chantilly crochet trim (page 8 of the Summer Mini Catalogue) is a natural colour and didn't really work against the Whisper White card stock, so I brayered it with River Rock ink so that it toned in with the rest of the card...
Stampin' Write Markers were used to colour directly onto the rubber of my stamps to create these two- and three-toned stamped images...
All five stamps from the Bliss stamp set were used on this card. Can you spot them all?
