Last weekend there was a demonstrator gathering however, due to the Hamilton Christmas Extravaganza, I didn't attend. Instead I sent my swaps along and got some really lovely ones back.
You may recognise my swaps, they are a card to go with the Sparkling Dasher Gable Box we made at last month's workshops...
Stamps: Dasher (wood: 121592), Lovely As A Tree (wood: 116388), Curly Cute (wood: 121500, clear: 120510), Sparkling Stampin' Around Jumbo Wheel (116444). Card/Paper: Soft Suede (119982), Real Red (106578), Whisper White (106549). Ink: Real Red (103133), Soft Suede (115657), VersaMark (102283). Accessories: Frost White Shimmer Paint (116854), Basic Pearls Jewels (119247), Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder (109130), White Stampin' Emboss Powder (109132). Tools: Scallop Trim Corner Punch (118870), Scallop Trim Border Punch (118402), Emobssing Buddy (103083), Heat Tool (106586), Sponge Daubers (102892), Stamp-a-ma-jig (101049), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430). Techniques: Shimmery Emboss Resist.
The dasher image was achieved by using the Shimmery Emboss Resist technique:
- Stamp Dasher image using VersaMark on Soft Suede and clear emboss.
- Using a dauber, evenly rub Frost White Shimmer Paint over the card stock. The embossed image will resist the Shimmer Paint.
- Apply the Frost White Shimmer Paint into the tree-scape image from Lovely As A Tree and stamp over Dasher.
- The embossed Dasher will resist the Shimmer Paint so, once the Shimmer Paint on the card stock is dry, rub Dasher to remove the Shimmer Paint.
