The colouring and detail of the tree image is achieved with a fun over-lay technique. First you need to watercolour your image. We used one of the trees from the Lovely As A Tree stamp set (page 83 of the Idea Book & Catalogue). Using the Garden Green and Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Markers, colour directly on to the stamp. Stamp the tree onto watercolour paper, then using an Aqua Painter to pick up the stamped ink and fill in the colour.

To complete the image, adhere a piece of Medium Window Sheet over the watercolour paper and, using the Stamp-a-ma-jig, stamp the tree again using Jet Black Stazon.

I love using this technique, it creates depth and detail. It almost looks like a story-book picture!
