On Sunday we held our first Hamilton Extravaganza of the year. Everyone enjoyed making five beautiful projects with new products and techniques. This is one of them, a lovely greeting card using the Delightful Wishes Bundle to create a fun vellum window card.
Bundles: Delightful Wishes Stamp Set + Delightful Wishes Dies (photopolymer: 164710). Ink: Lemon Lolly (161666), Daffodil Delight (147094), Pecan Pie (161665), Pool Party (147107). Card/Paper: Pool Party Two-Tone (166691), Pecan Pie (161726), Basic White (159228), Floral & Gingham Vellum 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper (164713), Floral Delight 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (164700). Accessories: Tiny Bee Trinkets (164714). Tools: Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (147653), Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (144108).
In fact, we used everything in the Floral Delight Suite on this card, except the pretty Daffodil Delight Satin Ribbon. As you look at the photos, see if you can spot all the products!

The look I was going for when I designed this card to teach at the Hamilton Extravaganza was that the front of the card was torn away to reveal that beautiful floral vellum. Like geodes, the rocks with a crystal surprise inside when you break them open!
To achieve this look, we started with a card base with no card front, with a small turnover at the top to adhere to a square of vellum. Then we took a small strip of Pool Party Two-Tone cardstock the same width as the card base and stamped it all over with the little trio background stamp in Pool Party ink. The bottom edge of the cardstock was then torn away to reveal the white core of the Two-Tone Cardstock and was adhered to cover the top edge of the vellum. We used the same technique for the bottom of the card, but tearing the top edge of the Two-Tone Cardstock.
The Two-Tone Cardstock is perfect for creating this gritty, torn edge for projects.
We then decorated the front of the greeting card with the lovely stamped flowers from the Delightful Wishes Bundle. The flowers are stamped in two colours: Lemon Lolly ink for the solid base and Daffodil Delight ink for the details. These stamped images are surprisingly easy to line up and then simple to die-cut with one die that cuts out all five flowers!
I have inserted a second, smaller card on the inside. Why? When you write your heartfelt message inside your greeting card, you may see some of it peeking through the semi-transparent vellum on the card front. What that meant is another surface to decorate - fun!
This was just one of the five projects we enjoyed creating at the Hamilton Extravaganza, and everyone went home with new ideas and creative inspiration.
