The line art illustrations in the Reindeer Fun Bundle are so sweet—they look like they just walked out of a colouring book or Disney cartoon!  I have stamped, die-cut, and coloured these cute critters and added them to the front (and inside) of a diagonal-front Christmas card.

How did I colour these reindeer and get that lovely dappled effect?  I began by stamping the image in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto Basic White cardstock and then die-cut it out with the coordinating die.  I then coloured the whole image using the Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends, using the darker Crumb Cake Stampin' Blend to add shadows (like the inside of the legs) and leaving some areas white (inside the ear, under the tail, and tummy).  Lastly, I dotted the tip of the Color Lifter across the back of the reindeer.

The Color Lifter pulls colour from areas coloured with Stampin' Blends.  So a gentle, scattered application of the Color Lifter across the backs of the reindeer lightens the Crumb Cake colouring and creates a pretty dappled effect.  I have also used the Color Lifter to soften and blend where the Crumb Cake colouring meets where I have left the image white.
