Before I tell you about the diagonal front fun-fold card design, let's talk about that gorgeous tag on the front of the card.  Isn't it stunning!

The shape of the tag is one of the dies in the Regal Flora Bundle and it is such a fun shape!  I have made it into a tag by punching a hole at the top narrow end and threading through the luscious Blackberry Bliss & Gold 1/2" Textured Ribbon, securing it with a cute White Baker's Twine bow.  That is pretty, but the flower really steals the show!  I have inked the blossom stamp in Berry Burst ink and before I stamped it onto Basic White cardstock, I used a Sponge Dauber to apply Blackberry Bliss ink along the bottom edge, directly onto the stamp.  The result?  A beautiful two-toned flower!

Okay, so here is how I created my diagonal front fun-fold card.  The card base is Basic White Thick cardstock cut at 21 cm x 14.8 cm, scored at 10.5 cm, and folded in half.  I then used the Paper Trimmer to cut diagonally from the top left corner of the card front down to the bottom right corner.  I added a triangle of the beautiful Regal Winter Designer Series Paper, which was cut at 9.5 cm x 13.8 cm then cut diagonally from the top left to bottom right.

Inside this card base is a second, smaller card.  This Basic White cardstock was cut at 9.5 cm x 27.6 cm, scored at 13.8 cm, folded in half, and adhered inside the card base.  I added another triangle to the top edge using Blackberry Bliss cardstock.  This piece has some lovely gold embossed details!  Not only does this triangular panel have a stunning contrast with the white lower half of the inner card, but it also shows behind the front tag when the card is closed.

The stamped flowers that peek out from under the Blackberry Bliss triangle were so much fun to stamp!  The blossoms were stamped in Berry Burst ink, the leaves in Shaded Spruce ink, and the leafy branch in Blackberry Bliss ink.  The trick is not overthinking it and just enjoying creating this lovely collage of floral elements.  I enjoyed it so much that I added more inside...

Aren't those sentiments endearing?  "Sending love your way" on the front of the diagonal fun-fold greeting card and "wishing I were there to give you a hug" stamped inside.  The sentiments in the Regal Flora stamp set are lovely for sympathy cards.  But I actually designed this card to be sent to a special birthday recipient living overseas; those words are perfect!
