I have been fortunate to have the gorgeous Winterly Tree Tops Bundle for a while (one of the many benefits of being a demonstrator).  Then, at a demonstrator-only event held earlier this year, we created six fabulous projects using this suite and I wanted to share my take on one of the projects with instructions so you can create it too.

Bundles: Winterly Tree Tops Stamp Set + Winterly Tree Tops Dies (cling: 164066).  Ink: Mossy Meadow (147111), Tuxedo Black Memento (132708).  Card/Paper: Mossy Meadow (133683), Smoky Slate (131291), Basic White (159228), Nests of Winter 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (164183).  Accessories: Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2 (149014), Earth Tones Shimmer Gems (164070).  Tools: Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (149653), Heartfelt Hexagon Punch (162888), Blending Brushes (153611), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430). 

Winterly Tree Tops Stamp Set + Winterly Tree Tops Dies Bundle (cling: 164066) - $117.75

Here's how you too can create this beautiful thank you card using the Winterly Tree Tops Bundle.  First, cut a standard-sized card base using Mossy Meadow cardstock then cut a piece of Basic White cardstock 1.5 cm or 1/2" smaller than your card front. 

Take a piece of scrap cardstock and die-cut the stunning pine branch border out of it.  Put aside the border for another project, we are using the inner piece (that you would usually throw away) as a mask!  Lay the mask in the centre of the Basic White cardstock and lightly apply Mossy Meadow ink around the outside edges with a Blending Brush.  Lift the mask, rotate it 180-degrees, lay it in the centre of the Basic White cardstock again, and apply a heavier layer of Mossy Meadow ink using the Blending Brush.  Now you have a lovely, layered pine branch border around the outside!  Add this inked panel to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stamp the two-birds-on-a-branch in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto Smoky Slate cardstock, die-cut out, and add colour highlights to the image with Coastal Cabana, Cajun Craze, and Crushed Curry Watercolor Pencils (these are all in the Assortment 2 pack).  Add the birds to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stamp words in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto Basic White cardstock, punch out with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch and add to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Lastly, add a scattering of the white self-adhesive embellishments from the pretty Earth Tones Shimmer Gems pack.

There are so many simple and fun techniques on this thank you card!  A number of them I hadn't done in a while and it was great to have that reminder and to create along with others at the Stampin' Up! demonstrator-only event.
