Here is a last look at the new 2024-2026 In Color collection.  So far I have shared my insights into Petunia Pop, Peach Pie, Pretty in Pink, and Summer Splash.  There is one more colour in the new In Color Collection found in the 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue...  SHY SHAMROCK.

One last time we will use the colour wheel, found on page 132 of the new 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue, to compare Shy Shamrock with two familiar hues.  The colours on either side of Shy Shamrock on the colour wheel are Pretty Peacock and Shaded Spruce...

Shy Shamrock is not as blue as Pretty Peacock and is lighter than both Pretty Peacock and Shaded Spruce.  Shy Shamrock is lovely and clean and a go-to colour for stamping all things green: grass, leaves, trees, etc.  It is a perfect Saint Patrick's Day hue!

A few months ago, I attended a demonstrator-only event in Melbourne called OnStage, which had an optional, fun stamping evening.  I have shared one project we made there and here is a second one, featuring the Spotlight on Nature stamp set and a selection of greens, including Shy Shamrock, Summer Splash, and Lemon Lime Twist.

Spotlight on Nature Stamp Set (cling: 163579) - $49.00

This simple greeting card uses only stamps, ink, a few layers of cardstock, and a quick bundle of Very Vanilla Baker's Twine.  The first stamped layer is a panel of Shy Shamrock cardstock, which has been stamped all over with the detailed leaf image in Shy Shamrock ink.  This is a lovely way of creating your own custom backgrounds for paper crafting projects.  This stamped panel was adhered to the front of a Summer Splash card base.  On top are two small pieces of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock stamped with the flower stem in Lemon Lime Twist ink.  These two pieces have been added to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Lastly, the words were stamped in Calypso Coral ink onto a strip of Basic White cardstock, a 30 cm or 12" length of Very Vanilla Baker's Twine swirled and adhered to the back, before adding the words to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

You may not realise it, but this card is based on one of the card sketches found at the bottom of page 22 of the 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue.  It is the second to last one displayed on the bottom row.  Instead of the two overlapping circles in the sketch, this card has two overlapping rectangles.  I love how you can use and adapt these card sketches to inspire creations!
