The new 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue introduces us to five fresh, on-trend colours, which are now part of our Stampin' Up! palette. In this post and the next four, I want to share with you my thoughts on the five new 2024-2026 In Colors, starting with PETUNIA POP.
Have you seen the colour wheel on page 132 of the new 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue? This circle of hues shows the relationship between all the Stampin' Up! colours, including the five new 2024-2026 In Colors. Petunia Pop sits in the Red-Violet grouping and is sandwiched by Fresh Freesia and Berry Burst...
Petunia Pop is a soft orchid-colour with purple undertones. This new colour is warmer than Fresh Freesia and is, in fact, quite similar in tone to Berry Burst, just less intense and more dusky. I have paired the fun, new Petunia Pop with Berry Burst and Old Olive inks to create this pretty thank you card using the fabulous Layers of Beauty Bundle...

Layers of Beauty Stamp Set + Layers of Beauty Dies + Layers of Beauty Decorative Masks Bundle (163519) - $119.50
The Layers of Beauty Bundle is a product set that is similar to the Enduring Beauty Bundle. It is a coordinating bundle of three... a stamp set, dies, and masks, which all match! For this thank you card, I started with a piece of Basic White cardstock and stamped it with the stunning bouquet outline in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I then laid the first Layers of Beauty Decorative Mask over the stamped image and used a Small Blending Brush to apply Petunia Pop ink. Then, it is just a repeat, laying the second, third, fourth, and fifth masks over the stamped image and applying a second layer of Petunia Pop ink, then Berry Burst ink, and finally two layers of Old Olive ink.
The finished inked bouquet was die-cut using the coordinating Layers of Beauty Dies and then cut in half lengthwise, so I had two beautiful floral borders to add to two thank-you cards.
I have snuck in another new colour on this thank you card called Basic Beige - surprise! It is not one of the five new In Colors, it is a new colour to the Basics range. Basic Beige is a warm stone colour that gives us a lovely alternative pairing to Very Vanilla and Basic White. I adhered my flower border to a piece of Basic Beige cardstock and stamped a few additional floral sprays in the background. This panel was then added to the front of my greeting card, which has a fun voucher pocket inside!
Of all the five new colours, Petunia Pop seems to be the most popular. At a recent Stampin' Up! event, we had a popularity voting system where each demonstrator dropped a ping pong ball into a glass jar to signify their favourite new In Color - Petunia Pop won by a landslide! I can't wait to see what others create using the new Petunia Pop.
