We had so much fun on Sunday at the Hamilton Extravaganza!  It was a great day crafting with friends, meeting new like-minded people, and learning fun-folds and techniques.  The event was focused on the products from the January-April 2024 Mini Catalogue, of which we used the fabulous Lighter Than Air Suite to create this fun cascading pleats birthday card...

This cascading pleats, fun-fold design was inspired by Tami White.  We began with a Balmy Blue card base, which beautifully coordinates with the Lighter Than Air Designer Series Paper.  You can see it on two of the layers on our birthday card...

On all three cascading layers, we have added a panel cut from Basic White cardstock and then used a Small Blending Brush to apply Balmy Blue ink to create a soft sky-look.  Then we had fun with the Hot Air Balloon stamps and coordinating dies to add three colourful hot air balloons and clouds, creating a stunning scene.

This card design folds flat for posting and I love how the patterned paper layers show behind the card front, and the hot air balloons peek out.

This cascading pleats birthday card is so versatile as anyone, of any age, would love to receive it!  Everyone enjoyed creating this project and I hope they are inspired to create more.
