Sending Cheer Matchbox Gift Box & Christmas Tags

The Sending Cheer Bundle is perfect for Christmas tags and decorations.  Each of the die-cut elements in this bundle has a loop or hole for tying them to a gift or stringing them up on a Christmas tree!  So, with that in mind, I created these fun Christmas tags with a coordinating matchbox gift box...

The little present tag was stamped in Old Olive ink, with the bow stamped in Real Red ink, and then the words popped up on a Mini Stampin' Dimensional.  The Christmas stocking tag is probably the most time-consuming, but the cutest!  The stocking was stamped in Real Red ink and die-cut out.  The stitched heel and toe pieces plus the fluffy top were die-cut from Basic White cardstock and adhered to the stocking, and the words were added with a Mini Stampin' Dimensional.  Lastly, the Santa hat was die-cut from Real Red cardstock and the pretty stars were stamped on it with Real Red ink.  The hat was then added to the large tag and the die-cut trim and pompom adhered with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

These three tag designs were inspired by a set of Christmas tags demonstrated by a Stampin' Up! artisan.  There is quite a bit of die-cutting here, but so much fun to create!

After creating the tags, I decided that they needed a coordinating gift box to hold them.  So, I created a simple matchbox-style box and decorated it with the Shining Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper.  One side has beautiful, festive designs in Cherry Cobbler and the other side has amazing Christmas imagery with shiny, foil accents.  I used the shiny side for my gift box, but the photograph of this beautiful patterned paper doesn't do it justice - it is so gorgeously glossy!

A quick word about the availability of the products I used to create this fun matchbox gift box and Christmas tags... the Shining Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper is one of the Online Exclusive products and is only available while supplies last so don't miss out!  And, the Sending Cheer Bundle is retiring at the end of the current mini catalogue, so is listed in the Last Chance Products Sale, which means it will only be available until 3 January, while supplies last.  Now, I would usually advocate purchasing the stamp-and-die bundle as they have an automatic 10% discount.  However, the Sending Cheer stamp set and Sending Cheer Dies are both discounted by 40% each in the Last Chance Products Sale, so it would be cheaper to purchase them separately.  Bargain!
