As soon as I saw this beautiful suite of products, I knew I wanted to create a card with an elegant arch that looks through to one of the soaring meadow scenes from the Meandering Meadows 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper. All of the twelve double-sided designs in this patterned paper pack feature a stunning hand-drawn scene of flowering fields, peaceful gardens, and dreamy meadows. Then on the back are abstract designs. I have used one of those abstract designs for the front of my card - a lovely wood-grain finish.
Meandering Meadows 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (162735) - $26.25
48 sheets of patterned paper: 4 each of 12 double-sided designs.
So, that was the beginning of my tri-fold card. The Pecan Pie card base was cut at 29.5 cm x 14 cm (11-3/4" x 5-1/2") and then scored at 10 cm and 20 cm (4" and 8"). I adhered the wood-grain patterned paper to the front of my card and die-cut an arch-shaped window from the middle. I then added some fun stamped elements from the Garden Meadow Bundle: a sweet cluster of flowers and a cute watering can, both stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured with Stampin' Blends.
Then on the second panel of my tri-fold card, I adhered one of the beautiful meadow scenes from the Meandering Meadows Designer Series Paper pack, so it is viewed through the die-cut archway, and then you see the scene in all its glory when you open the card. Do you see the sweet little brass dragonfly? It is one of the pieces from the Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies & Birds.
And finally, here is the inside of my tri-fold birthday card, with some more stamping and colouring.
Inspired by the Meandering Meadows Designer Series Paper, this tri-fold birthday card began as a vision to view the pretty, hand-drawn patterned paper through an arched window, evoking a feeling of the calm from the beautiful meadow scene. I am delighted with the outcome and I think I have captured the essence of what I was trying to create. I can't wait to make more projects using the new Meandering Meadows Suite.
