The flower stencils in the new Abundant Beauty Masks are so much fun to play with!  Just choose your favourite flower colours... yellows and oranges for Sunflowers, pinks and reds for Gerberas, or (as I have done) rich blues for Cornflowers.  I used the resulting artwork to create this lovely birthday card...

The Abundant Beauty Masks include seven all-occasion designs: an argyle patterned mask, leaves and acorns, falling snowflakes, and four coordinating flower and petal masks that can create fun layers.  These stencils can be used with Embossing Paste and Palette Knives or water-based ink with Blending Brushes or Sponge Daubers.

For this birthday card, I started with the flower stencil and used a Small Blending Brush to apply Blueberry Bushel ink at the base of the petals, then finished off the flower with Azure Afternoon ink.  I removed the flower mask before laying down the mask with the circular flower centres and applied Crumb Cake ink with a Small Blending Brush.  I removed that mask, added the detailed flower centre mask, and applied Pecan Pie ink.  Lastly, I laid the leaves mask over my stencilled flowers and applied Granny Apple Green ink.  To finish my masterpiece, I embossed the inked panel with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder.

I used this beautiful panel to create a buckle card.  This is a simple greeting card design that has an extra piece of cardstock that folds from the right side, like a belt or buckle.  This could be a strip of cardstock or a piece that is die-cut, like mine.  I have used the largest "coffin" shaped die from the Nested Essentials Dies to create this fun fold card.  I also die-cut the next size down from Basic White cardstock so I could stamp a birthday cake and add a "Happy Birthday" sentiment.  These stamps are from the very versatile Curved Occasions Bundle, and I coordinated the flowers on the birthday cake by colouring them with Azure Afternoon and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends
