This fun fold card was perfect for showing off both sides of the Delightful Floral Designer Series Paper - an intense floral pattern in the background with the pretty watercolour wash in the foreground.  Plus, those gorgeous stamped-and-die-cut garden images create a stunning border along the angled card front.

Speaking of the bordering stamped images... do you see the two-toned ink on the stamped leaves?  That was so much fun to do!  I started by inking the stamp with the Parakeet Party stamp pad.  I then applied patches of Pretty Peacock ink to the stamp using a Blending Brush before stamping it onto Basic White cardstock and die-cutting the shape.  I got this colouring idea from the way that the leaves are portrayed in the patterned paper.

When you open this birthday card, you can appreciate the shape of the card better.  This fun fold is called an Angled Z-Fold or Angled Tri-Fold card and is a simple way to create a lot of wow-factor.

This handmade greeting card is for a friend who recently had a birthday.  She is a fellow stamper, so I needed to create something very special for her.  I hope she loves it!
