Father's Day is nearly here! We celebrate Father's Day in New Zealand and Australia on the first Sunday of September, which falls on 3 September this year. I have been playing with some non-floral, masculine-themed products in honor of the occasion and this is one of the Father's Day cards I have created using the oh-so-fun Trucking Along Bundle...

Trucking Along Stamp Set + Trucking Along Builder Punch Bundle (photopolymer: 162306) - $87.25
How cute is that truck! I stamped the outline in Pebbled Path ink onto Basic White cardstock, then stamped the truck's "paint-job" in Crushed Curry ink and punched it out. Here's a tip for lining up the outline and solid images in this stamp set... once you have stamped the outline, hover the solid image over the top and line up the driver's window and the underside of both wheel arches - easy!
I stamped the same image twice and cut the second to create a trailer!
This fun-fold card is called a Double-Point card and uses the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper to create the angled flaps on the left and right sides of the card. Then when you open it...
... you get this fabulous insert. For the background layer, I stamped the tree and cloud images from the Trucking Along stamp set in VersaMark ink into Basic White cardstock, added White Embossing Powder, and then heat set. I then laid down Pretty Peacock ink using a Blending Brush and, everywhere that is embossed, resists the ink, revealing the stamped images, and giving a fabulous finish. This is called (funnily enough) the Emboss-Resist Technique.
Then to finish this Father's Day card, I stamped "Wishing you a happy Father's Day" in Crushed Curry ink. This stamp comes from the He's All That stamp set. If you create a lot of cards for the boys and men in your life, then this stamp set is a must-have for your collection.
Not creating a Father's Day card right now... then the He's All That stamp set also includes a "Happy birthday to a classic" sentiment that includes the front of a truck. Replace the words inside this Father's Day card with this and you have a fabulous birthday card!
