Here is the final of the five new In Colors, which were released in the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalogue.  You have already seen hints of this colour in earlier projects... WILD WHEAT - a rusty yellow with brown tones that is at its best when used as tarnished gold.  Take a look at how this new hue compares with some of our familiar core colours...

This golden hue looks so great with blue, so I paired Wild Wheat with Boho Blue (one of the other new In Colors) to create this lovely Thinking of You card using the new Circle Sayings Bundle, inspired by Charlet Mallett.

This may be a simple-looking card but look a little closer at all the lovely details.  This is a 10.5 cm or 4" card base and to the front, I have added four 4 cm or 1-1/2" squares of patterned paper.  This paper is from the Fresh As a Daisy Designer Series Paper pack.  I then punched out a 2-3/8" circle from Basic White cardstock and adhered it to the middle.

Now for the smaller details... I stamped the lovely sunrise-over-the-waves image on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper in VersaMark ink and then heat-embossed with White Embossing Powder before punching the image out with the 2" Circle Punch.  I used watercolour paper so it was robust enough for the emboss-resist technique I was using here, which is where I applied Wild Wheat and Boho Blue ink with a Water Painter and the shiny embossed image shows through the colour!

I love this beachy image... it is reminiscent of Raglan!  Once the watercoloured image was dry, I added it to the middle of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I also stamped and hand-cut a "sending you a" banner to add across the top edge and finished the sentiment with "smile" stamped under the circles.
