This is the second of two make-and-takes that everyone got to create at the recent Mini Catalogue Launch Party.  We used the very versatile Enjoy the Adventure Cards & Envelopes as the base of this birthday card.  Don't you just love that patterned wash of blues and greens!  We paired that ready-to-use card base with the Black & White Gingham Ribbon and the fabulous, new Queen Bee stamp set.

Why the Black & White Gingham Ribbon?  That was inspired by the fabulous printed finish on the coordinating envelopes...

We used the Small Blending Brushes to apply Balmy Blue ink to the bottom corner of a square of Basic White cardstock to mimic the coloured wash on the card base.  Then each of the panels on the card front was stamped with the lovely, vintage-style images from the Queen Bee stamp set in Smoky Slate and Tuxedo Black inks.

But wait... there's more!  The Enjoy the Adventure Cards & Envelopes come with two different card base designs.  This one is in sunny yellows and pinks!  So, for this alternative birthday card, we blended Mango Melody ink in the corner of the white square instead of the blue.

It was fun creating these birthday cards, where the Enjoy the Adventure Cards & Envelopes did all the heavy lifting, and we just played with the Queen Bee stamps, ink, and cardstock!
