On Friday I held a Mini Catalogue Launch Party to celebrate the release of the fabulous January-April 2023 Mini Catalogue. Part of this event is showing off all the gorgeous, new products. While the photos in the catalogues are amazing, they really don't do the products justice and they are so much better in real life.
And a party is not complete without games and prizes! We had a lot of laughs playing games and some of you were really competitive! These were the fun prizes I gave away to the lucky winners... samples of By the Bay 6" x 6" Specialty Designer Series Paper, some Flat Adhesive-Backed Pearls, all wrapped up with Balmy Blue & White 1/2" Variegated Ribbon.
And then there was the BIG prize draw! Everyone who attended had multiple opportunities to get their name into the draw for the beautiful Country Bouquet stamp set, a pack of Country Floral Lane 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, wrapped with a long length of Burlap 1/2" Ribbon.
I love making small gifts for events such as the Mini Catalogue Launch Party. This time, I created sour cream container gift boxes and filled them with foil-wrapped chocolate hearts...
These guest gifts were so much fun to create and actually quite simple.
Bundles: Country Bouquet Stamp Set + Country Bouquet Punch (photopolymer: 160383). Ink: Real Red (147084), Mint Macaron (147106). Card/Paper: Basic White (159228), Country Gingham 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (160388). Accessories: Real Red & Burlap Ribbon Combo Pack (160386), Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins (160387). Tools: Very Best Trio Punch (159878), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430).
When I've made sour cream container gift boxes in the past, I have filled them and sealed both ends. This time around I wanted to create a closure at the top so that this gift can be opened without destroying it. So I had a play and this is how I created it...
- Score Country Gingham 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper at 2.5 cm and 5 cm (1" and 2"). Fold over the top edge along the top score line only.
- Add adhesive to the left edge and bottom edge of the patterned paper. Adhere the left edge to the right edge of the patterned paper to create a circular tunnel and then seal the bottom edge.
- Press the top folded edge of the gift box in the opposite direction to the bottom and then punch a hole through all layers using the Very Best Trio Punch.
- Fill the treat box, thread a length of Real Red Ribbon through the punched holes, and tie a bow.
Then all you need to do is stamp and decorate it!
Besides being fun guest gifts for the Mini Catalogue Launch Party, these will make lovely Valentine's Day treats too! We also had hands-on experiences with new products at the Mini Catalogue Launch Party, where we created some fun projects, but I'll share that with you later.
