How fabulous is this fun fold!  It is a Double Gate-Fold Christmas Card created using the beautiful Boughs of Holly Suite...

This Double Gate-Fold Card design begins with a 30 cm x 14 cm (12" x 5-1/2") piece of patterned paper.  That means you can get two of these card bases out of one sheet of the Boughs of Holly 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper.  The card base is then scored at 5 cm, 10 cm, 20 cm, and 25 cm (2”, 4”, 8”, and 10”) and the top corners are cut away (from the inside score line to halfway down the side).

This fun card design is unique in that the card base is made from designer series paper (rather than cardstock) and it is a lovely way to show off both sides of the patterned paper.

The card on the top left of page 24 in the July-December Mini Catalogue was the inspiration for the front panel of my Double Gate-Fold card.  I have die-cut one of the delicate leaves from Masking Paper, laid it over the Basic White cardstock, and used a Blending Brush to gently sponge Sahara Sand ink over it.  I then lifted and replaced the mask in another spot and repeated the sponging until I had covered the cardstock.  The effect is stunning!

Then to finish the front of my Double Gate-Fold Christmas Card, I added a stamped-and-die-cut holly leaf, some words, and that cute wooden Textural Element, which I added a little colour to using Stampin' Blends.  I am loving the Boughs of Holly Suite!
