I am loving playing with the traditional Christmas imagery and colours from the Boughs of Holly Suite.  I have used the Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper and the Leaves of Holly Bundle to decorate these sweet Peekaboo Treat Bags...

Peekaboo Treat Bags (159252) - $12.75
5 kraft bags and 5 white bags:  7.6 cm x 10.2 cm x 3.2 cm (3" x 4" x 1-1/4")

The Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper adhered to the top of these Peekaboo Treat Bags is 10 cm x 5 cm or 4" x 2", which is really economical as you can get 18 pieces from one sheet of 12" x 12" designer series paper.  I have wrapped a length of Linen Thread around the body of the gift and tied a bow.  Then I had fun stamping and die-cutting holly leaves and berries to decorate the front, picking the ink colours from the hues in the patterned paper.

The large leaf was stamped first in Soft Succulent ink and then stamped with Evening Evergreen ink to get that gorgeous two-toned effect.  The berries were stamped in Poppy Parade ink and Cherry Cobbler ink.  And lastly, that delicate holly leaf in the background was die-cut from the sumptuous Gold Distressed Specialty Paper.

I like the modern spin on the traditional holly images and Christmas colours found in the Boughs of Holly Suite.  They are nostalgic, and certainly not old-fashioned.  I love it!
