Fond of Autumn Thank You Card with Stenciled Embossing Paste

Embossing Paste is such fun to play with!  One way of using Embossing Paste on your papercraft projects is to apply it through a stencil or mask and then use the beautiful, textured piece as a background or feature.  The Fond of Autumn Bundle has a lovely detailed die that I wanted to play with as a stencil, so I die-cut it from some cardstock, lay it over Sahara Sand cardstock, and then applied Embossing Paste.  I loved the outcome and used it as a backdrop for this beautiful thank you card...

Fond of Autumn Stamp Set + Autumn Bouquet Dies Bundle (photopolymer: 159838) - $110.50

Don't be fooled by the name, the Fond of Autumn stamp set and coordinating Autumn Bouquet Dies can be used all year round.  I have deliberately coloured the stunning flower arrangement in this stamp set in springtime colours and I love how they look a lot like the beautiful blossoms adorning the trees right now.

Fond of Autumn Thank You Card with Stenciled Embossing Paste

The Embossing Paste adds to the lovely texture and layers on this thank you card, and it is so easy to use!  Once you have applied the Embossing Paste to your project, be sure to wash the Palette Knives and clean the surface you are working on as soon as you can (or at least soak them in water), otherwise the Embossing Paste can set like concrete to your tools and it is hard to get off.  Then be sure to seal the container of Embossing Paste well so it doesn't dry out.  I cover the container with plastic wrap before screwing on the lid and then popping it into a sealed plastic bag.  If you do this, then an open jar of Embossing Paste can last around 6 months or more.
