I have paired the Splendid Day Suite from the mini catalogue with the Pool Party and Soft Sea Foam Cards & Envelopes from Sale-A-Bration to create this fun card using the Floating Circle Technique...

Have trouble deciding which side of the patterned paper you love most?  Well, the Floating Circle Technique allows you to show off all the beautiful designs in a pack, plus it is a great way to use up those scraps and slivers of designer paper you have lying around.  For this card I have limited the colour palette to Pool Party and Fresh Freesia and repeated some of the Splendid Day Specialty Designer Series Paper...

To create the floating circle, I began with a 9 cm or 3-1/2" Window Sheet square.  To that, I added 1 cm or 3/8" strips of Splendid Day Specialty Designer Series Paper with even gaps in between.  One of the strips I added is a 1.5 cm or 5/8" piece of Pool Party cardstock, on which the words are stamped in Pool Party ink.  Once I was happy with my composition, I die-cut the Window Sheet with the largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies and added it to my card with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals hidden behind the paper strips.

Behind the floating circle, you will see that I have stamped and white heat-embossed stems from the Splendid Thoughts Bundle directly onto the card base and added some branches die-cut from Basic White cardstock.  Don't forget that cute little bee!

The Pool Party & Soft Sea Foam Cards & Envelopes came in a pack with ten Pool Party and ten Soft Sea Foam card bases (as the name suggests).  So I recreated the card, this time with the Soft Sea Foam card base...

I substituted the Pool Party strip of cardstock with one in Soft Sea Foam and stamped it with an alternative sentiment in Soft Sea Foam ink.  This time, I wanted to show off more of the lovely foils and patterns in the Splendid Day Specialty Designer Series Paper, so didn't repeat any!
