The background effect for this greeting card was created using the Emboss-Resist Technique. I heat-embossed the beautiful, big wave stamp onto Basic White cardstock with white embossing powder (you could also use clear embossing powder for this technique). Then I applied Petal Pink ink with a Blending Brush and wiped the excess ink off the embossed image. Because heat-embossed images are non-porous, they do not absorb the ink colour and remain white.
I finished this thank you card with a sliver of pretty blue foil at the top and a larger piece of the gorgeous Waves of the Ocean Designer Series Paper at the bottom. I love the visual movement I was able to capture with this card, between the stamped wave and the wave-like imagery from the designer paper.
