ANZAC Day | least we forget... we will remember them

Today our nation pauses for ANZAC Day to commemorate our brave soldiers killed in war and to honour our returned servicemen and women.  The date itself marks the anniversary of the landing of New Zealand and Australian troops (known as the ANZACs) on the Gallipoli Peninsula in Turkey in 1915.

ANZAC Day | least we forget... we will remember them

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

For the Fallen/Ode of Remembrance (Laurence Binyon)

Ake ake kia kaha e!
Forever be strong!

Marching song of the New Zealand Army's 28th (Māori) Battalion (1939-1945)
