I love the layout and colours of the beautiful windmill birthday card pictured on page 14 of the January-June 2022 Mini Catalogue. It uses the fun Tulip Fields stamp set and coordinating Windmill Fields Dies to create a pretty Netherlandic scene. I was so inspired that I recreated it but, instead of a standard-sized card, I created a slimline birthday card.

There are so, so many layers on this slimline birthday card. To begin with, there are the beautiful stamped rows of tulips. Here are two tips for stamping these to get a nice, even vanishing point.
The first tip is to stamp the rows in a specific order. Start with the wide horizon stamp, then the middle triangular stamp, and then all the other rows, which also use the triangular stamp. I stamped the first, horizontal row in Daffodil Delight ink across the middle of the front panel. I then stamped the middle, front row in Petal Pink ink perpendicular to the first stamp, to create a "T" shape. And finally, I stamped the two rows on either side of the middle row. The left side was stamped in Poppy Parade and Highland Heather inks. The right side was stamped in Crushed Curry and Highland Heather inks.
The second tip is to save elements, like the windmill, to cover up any overlapping or unevenness of the stamped rows, where the points meet.
The other layers on this card are courtesy of the wonderful coordination between the Tulip Fields stamp set and Windmill Fields Dies. Each of the elements were stamped, die-cut, and then layered across the card to create this tranquil scene.
The final touches for this slimline birthday card was to add some Brushed Brass Butterflies and then pop the card inside a Slimline Envelope.
