A Criss-Cross Card is a greeting card design that has an angled pocket on the front.  It is simple to create, has a bit of wow-factor, and is perfect for gifting a voucher or a small paper crafting present to a friend.

To create the criss-cross pocket on this card, begin by taking a square piece of cardstock that is the same width as the panel on your card front.  Cut the square cardstock in half diagonally to create two triangles.  Add adhesive to the bottom and side edges of the triangular-shaped cardstock.  Adhere one of the triangles to the right edge of the panel on the card front and add the remaining triangle to the left edge.

To add a little texture to the project, I embossed one of the triangles with the Hive 3D Embossing Folder.  I then finished this Criss-Cross Card with stamping and die-cutting using the gorgeous Blessings of Home stamp set and coordinating Flowers of Home Dies.

This Criss-Cross card comes with a personalised, hand-crafted birthday present... inserted into the front of the card is a bookmark that coordinates with the birthday card.  I love the words stamped on the front of the bookmark - they are beautiful and uplifting.

Some other ideas on what you can insert into the front of a criss-cross card are inspirational magnets, hand-written notes, money, and gift cards.  Anything that is small and flat to complete this card-and-gift-in-one.
