Who remembers the colours of the rainbow by using the ROYGBIV acronym?  Rainbow cards with all their seven hues are fun to create with.  But why not step outside the box and create a rainbow card with a limited colour palette.  You could choose a couple of fun, bright colours or something soft and more muted, like the front of this greeting card...

The non-traditional rainbow colours I have used on this card, starting from the top, are Fresh Freesia, pale green-blue Shimmer Paper, Balmy Blue, and Blackberry Bliss.  This is a friendship or birthday card, but the colours and design also lend themselves to a new baby card too.  I have used the Rainbow of Happiness Bundle to die-cut the curves from each of the colours and then assembled the rainbow on the card front.  Here's a tip... use the stencil from die-cutting the rainbow as a guide for adhering the curves evenly.  A previously shared Rainbow Thank You Card also had ideas on how to use the off-cut stencils.

This fun-fold card is a Gatefold Card but, instead of the traditional belly band that usually wraps around this style of card, the two sides of the card are held closed with a latch.  The rectangle on the front of the card has a folded mechanism behind it that slides over the edges of the card to hold it shut, then slides off to open the card... 

Inside my Latched Gatefold Card I have repeated the rainbow in the same colours, but this time I have used the matching inks and stamped it.  This rainbow card is sure to make someone happy!
