The Artfully Composed Suite in the new mini catalogue was one of the last items on my wishlist.  In fact, it nearly didn't make the cut!  However, I purchased it and I am so pleased I did.  I have loved using this suite with its bold, tropical themes and lush, botanical prints.  Take a look at this fun, leafy birthday card that was inspired by Anna Helman...

The front of this birthday card has a window opening, with a perfectly placed stamped image inside.

This is done using the Keyhole Window or Keyhole Cutout Technique.  The Stamparatus is your best stamping buddy to create this fun opening.  Firstly, added the Artfully Composed Designer Series Paper to the Just Jade card front and a piece of Basic White cardstock inside the card.  Then place your folded card into the top corner of the Stamparatus and position the stamp that you are going to die-cut out in the centre of the card front.  Close the lid of the Stamparatus to pick up the stamp, ink it, then stamp it onto the card front.  Open your card and stamp again onto the Basic White cardstock inside your card.  Now you can die-cut out the first stamp on your card front and it will be perfectly aligned with the stamp underneath, thanks to the Stamparatus!

I have finished the inside stamped image by die-cutting the same image from a scrap piece of cardstock to use as a mask and then applied Just Jade ink using the Blending Brushes.  Because this big, bold palm leaf took up most of the card inner, I decided to make the card inner a bit different.  It's like a card inside a card!

This greeting card is perfect to give to anyone!  The gorgeous greens and neutral imagery of the Artfully Composed Suite make it a perfect feminine or masculine card, and it can be given to both teenagers and adults of all ages.  In fact, if you changed the birthday sentiment to one of the alternatives in the Artfully Layered stamp set, this could also be a sympathy card, thank you card, or a lovely friendship card.  Such versatility!
