Have you purchased your favourites from the Last Chance Product Sale? Included in this sale is one of my favourite product suites (and one of the most popular) from the July-December 2021 Mini Catalogue... it's the Whimsy & Wonder Suite. Unfortunately, at the time I am writing this, the only product still available from this amazing suite is the Whimsical Trees stamp set. However, I will still go ahead and show you this fun Christmas gift card holder, which can be adapted to use your own patterned papers and stamps.
Bundles: Whimsical Trees Stamp Set + Christmas Trees Dies (cling: 156810). Ink: Mint Macaron (147106), Mossy Meadow (147111), VersaMark (102283). Card/Paper: Mint Macaron (138344), Mossy Meadow (133683), Basic White (159228), Silver Foil (156457), Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper (156329). Accessories: Silver Trim (Simply Elegant Trim: 155766), Round & Square Brads (155570), White Embossing Powder (Basics Stampin' Emboss Powder (155554). Tools: Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (149653), Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder (156505), Heat Tool (129056), Blending Brushes (153611), Mini Glue Dots (103683), Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (144108).
I heat-embossed the large hand-sketched Christmas tree from the Whimsical Trees stamp set with white embossing powder for the front panel of this card. I then used a Blending Brush to add circular layers of Mint Macaron ink. The ink doesn't adhere to the embossed image and "reveals" the embossed image. I love the soft effect that this Emboss-Resist Technique gives.
This square panel on the front of the Christmas card actually has two jobs. Firstly, it is the latch that holds the front of this gatefold card closed. Lift the latch by twisting the front...
... and not only can you now open the gatefold card, but the second purpose for this square panel is revealed. It is a little card and inside is a snug space that is perfectly sized for a credit card-sized gift voucher.
And here is the inside of my Christmas gatefold card...
Do not let the supposed complexity of this design fool you, this Christmas gift card holder is actually not difficult to create. It is a little bit of engineering and a whole lot of decorating fun, especially with the Whimsy & Wonder Suite. You may have missed out on this lovely collection of products, but make sure you don't miss out on others that are in the Last Chance Product Sale.
