Strong of Heart (cling: 156376) - $42.00

To create that gorgeous ombre effect on the stamped heart, I used the Stamparatus and Blending Brushes.  I mounted the brush-stroke heart stamp onto the Stamparatus, inked it with the Fresh Freesia stamp pad, and stamped it onto Basic White cardstock.  I then used a Blending Brush to apply Highland Heather ink on a diagonal through the middle of the heart stamp, then stamped.  I repeated this step many times until I had the depth of colour I wanted.  I then used the Blending Brush to apply Gorgeous Grape ink on the top corner of the heart stamp, then stamped.  I again repeated this step until I had the depth of colour I wanted.

This method of applying layers of ink using the Stamparatus and Blending Brushes gives a lovely, soft finish to the stamped image.

My greeting card was finished with a beautiful sentiment from the Strong of Heart stamp set, which was heat-embossed with white embossing powder onto Fresh Freesia cardstock, with white baker's twine, and a scattering of pearls.
