There are a number of large, neighbourhood deciduous trees outside my dining room window and I have been watching them slowly change colour and lose their leaves over the last few months.  They were the inspiration for this Thinking of You Card featuring the Beauty of the Earth Suite.

I mashed together two fun, inky techniques to create the mottled tree on the card front, reminiscent of the trees outside.  I first added two ink colours to the tree leaves stamp by carefully inking Cinnamon Cider on the bottom half and Cajun Craze on the top half, then gently blending the harsh line between them with a Water Painter.  The second technique I applied was the Kissing Technique.  I inked the second tree leaves stamp (the more open image) from the Beauty of the Earth stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink and pressed it directly onto the two-toned ink that I had already applied.  Now, my image was ready to stamp onto Basic White cardstock.  The result... three intermingled, autumnal colours on one tree!
