You may have noticed that the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set is just butterflies, no words, so I paired it with the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set for this greeting card.  I stamped one of the birthday sentiments in VersaMark ink directly onto the Natural Touches Specialty Paper, added White Stampin' Emboss Powder, and heat set.  I love the pale woodgrain finish that this specialty paper has and how pretty it is with stamping on it.

For the background of my butterfly birthday card, I chose one of the gorgeous patterns in the Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper and then embossed the whole card front with the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder, to compliment the texture of the Natural Touches Specialty Paper.

The beautiful, big butterfly on this birthday card was also white heat embossed, but this time on Vellum Cardstock, and then die-cut.  In fact, because the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set is a single stamp and the Brilliant Wings Dies die-cuts all of them at once, I now have five additional butterflies to create with! 

The butterfly for this card was finished by colouring the back of the vellum with Rococo Rose and Just Jade Stampin' Blends.  This gives the butterfly a hint of colour that matches the fabulous Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper.
