Last weekend was the FYI Craft Show here in the Waikato and, with the help of my family, we designed and staffed the Stampin' Up! stand.  The theme of the show was "Under the Sea", which was tailor-made for showcasing the Whale of a Time Suite from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue.

We created a checker-board effect across the back wall of the Stampin' Up! stand using all the amazing designs from the Whale of a Time 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, with greeting cards and product samples using the Whale of a Time Suite arranged throughout.  We had so many positive comments about our display, many thinking it was a quilt!

129 squares precisely put up over 3 hours... 10 minutes to pack down!

We also ran a make-and-take on the Stampin' Up! stand and one of the projects created was this fun congratulations card using the Whale Done stamp set and coordinating Whale Builder Punch.

Here are some tips on how this card was created...

• The background is Whisper White cardstock embossed with the amazing Seabed Embossing Folder, which everyone loved! 
• The designer paper panel was enhanced with the stamping of a jellyfish and school of fish in Just Jade and Pretty Peacock inks, respectively.
• The whale stamp was inked up on the Just Jade stamp pad, but before stamping, we used a Sponge Dauber to apply Pretty Peacock ink along the top edge for a lovely two-toned effect.
• The card was finished with the pretty Pool Party Sheer Ribbon and a scattering of Whale of a Time Sequins.
