This fancy fold Christmas card has layer upon layer upon layer!  It uses the Trimming the Town Suite to create a fun, layered card with a beautiful, homely scene on the front.

Let's talk about the customised belly band that surrounds this Christmas card before we take a look inside.  I began by die-cutting a strip of Whisper White Thick cardstock with the lovely hill scenes.  On top of that, I layered the houses and trees.  These pretty images are found in the Coming Home stamp set and were die-cut with the coordinating Home Together Dies.  These elements were coloured using Stampin' Blends and given a shimmery finish with the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

To get a house with a porch, I stamped both the large and small houses, aligned the doors, and adhered the small house with Stampin' Dimensionals.

And do you see the words?  They were not stamped.  They were easily cut from one of the sheets of the Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper.  Two of the 12" x 12" pages are covered in a range of festive sentiments in English, French, German, and Dutch.  "From Our Home to Yours" is so appropriate for this Christmas card!

When the belly band is removed, the layers of this fun Christmas card front are fully revealed.  I have seen this fancy-fold card design in a number of places and I love the overlapping, layered effect, which works so well with designer paper.
