Welcome to Your Creative Connection; a bi-monthly creative showcase which comes to you on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday/Thursday of each month. Your Creative Connection came together from a group of eight global friends wanting to give you a worldwide connection to creativity. We hope to inspire you to connect with us as we share papercraft ideas using Stampin’ Up! products. Each showcase will have a theme, and we will ‘travel’ around the world to connect with our creative friends.
This week's Your Creative Connection theme is WHAT'S BEHIND THE MASK. For this theme, I die-cut my own mask using the Snowflake Wishes Bundle and then used this custom stencil with Shimmery White Embossing Paste to create a slimline friendship card.

I die-cut the detailed "look-through" snowflake from Whisper White cardstock to create a mask. I laid that mask over one of the lovely Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Papers, applied a thin coat of Shimmery White Embossing Paste, then removed the mask to reveal a gorgeous, textured snowflake.
I don't have an envelope to fit this slimline friendship card, so I made my own by using another coordinating sheet of Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper.
This sleeve is an easy way to create a custom envelope. First cut a piece of designer paper that is approximately 1.5 cm or 1/2" taller than the card. Wrap the designer paper around the card and trim so that the ends overlap at the back. Adhere the bottom and back of the sleeve then punch a half circle at the top to easily pull out the card.
