In this month's email update I shared a tutorial for a quick and simple card using the gorgeous Life is Beautiful stamp set. I have taken that card and stepped it up in both technique and texture. Here is what I created...
Stamps: Life is Beautiful (photopolymer: 154871). Ink: Blushing Bride (147100), Crumb Cake (147116), VersaMark (102283). Card/Paper: Blushing Bride (131287), Crumb Cake (121685), Whisper White (106549), Whisper White Thick (140490). Accessories: Woven Threads Sequin Assortment (149498), Flowers for Every Season Gems (153845), White Stampin' Emboss Powder (109132). Tools: Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (149653), Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folders (153574), Banners Pick A Punch (153608), Heat Tool (129056), Sponge Brayers (141714), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430).
Life is Beautiful Stamp Set (154871) - $36.00
The base of this pretty card was sponged with Blushing Bride ink; intense colour at the bottom, fading through to white. To that, I have added a textured layer of Blushing Bride cardstock, which has been embossed with one of the Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folders. The greeting card from my email has the words stamped directly onto the Whisper White cardstock, under the birdhouse. For this stepped-up version, I added another layer by punching Crumb Cake cardstock to create a banner, then stamping and embossing the words in white.
I am loving the way you can stamp the tree from the Life is Beautiful stamp set for different seasons. In honour of the coming of spring, Blushing Bride ink makes another appearance with stamped bokeh dots in the tree branches, which reminds me of new blossoms appearing before the leaves make a showing... very spring-like! I finished this card with an eclectic collection of bling... pink and lilac sequins from Woven Threads Sequin Assortment and different-sized clear domes from Flowers for Every Season Gems.
