Welcome to Your Creative Connection; a bi-monthly creative showcase which comes to you on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday/Thursday of each month.  Your Creative Connection came together from a group of eight global friends wanting to give you a worldwide connection to creativity.  We hope to inspire you to connect with us as we share papercraft ideas using Stampin’ Up! products.  Each showcase will have a theme, and we will ‘travel’ around the world to connect with our creative friends.

This week's Your Creative Connection theme is SHADES OF BLACK AND WHITE.  A black and white Christmas anyone?  Take a look at these cute, hinged metal tins that are the perfect size for small Christmas treats.

This elegant gift box drew inspiration from all over the new 2020-2021 Mini Catalogue.  I began at the top of page 55 with wrap ideas for the Rectangle Tins, which was the inspiration for this project.  This sleeve is Basic Black cardstock cut at 7.5 cm or 3" high, embossed with one of the Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folders, and then wrapped snuggly around the Rectangle Tin.  Then I scoured the mini catalogue for all things black, white, and silver, settling on the Metallic Mesh Ribbon from the Halloween section and Wonder of the Season Specialty Designer Series Paper from the Christmas section.  I also used the Glittered Organdy Ribbon to finish the front with a beautiful black bow.

The final touch was the Christmas tag, which was created using the Warm Hugs stamp set and coordinating Warm Wraps Dies.  Isn't that Christmas Tree so cute!
