Welcome to Your Creative Connection; a bi-monthly creative showcase which comes to you on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday/Thursday of each month.  Your Creative Connection came together from a group of eight global friends wanting to give you a worldwide connection to creativity.  We hope to inspire you to connect with us as we share papercraft ideas using Stampin’ Up! products.  Each showcase will have a theme, and we will ‘travel’ around the world to connect with our creative friends.

This week's Your Creative Connection theme is HOW TINY IS THIS?  At the time of creating a project for this theme, I had off-cuts and little scraps of the lovely Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper lying on my desk.  These tiny scraps of designer paper plus some coordinating cardstock were pieced together to create a border for this card that features the new Love of Leaves stamp set and coordinating Stitched Leaves Dies...

To collect all the tiny pieces of designer paper and cardstock, I started with a 4 cm or 1-5/8" wide piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I chose designer paper patterns that had similar colour palettes, and added some strips of Gold Foil and coloured cardstock.  The cardstock was embossed with the Old World Paper embossing folder to give it some lovely scrunched textured.  To add to the glamour of the finished card, I lightly touched the raised texture on the two pieces of Just Jade cardstock with the VersaMark stamp pad, added some gold embossing powder, and heat set.  Once all of the pieces were added to the Whisper White panel, I trimmed off any bits that were overhanging, and then it was ready to use.

Before adding the panel on the left, I used the gorgeous, big stitched-background die on the card front and repeated the stitching on the die-cut leaf too.  To finish, I used the beautiful script from the Love of Leaves stamp set and added it with a swirl of gorgeous gold thread.
