Field of Flowers Friendship Love Card

Your Creative Connection

Welcome to Your Creative Connection; a bi-monthly creative showcase which comes to you on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday/Thursday of each month.  Your Creative Connection came together from a group of eight global friends wanting to give you a worldwide connection to creativity.  We hope to inspire you to connect with us as we share papercraft ideas using Stampin’ Up! products.  Each showcase will have a theme, and we will ‘travel’ around the world to connect with our creative friends.

This week's Your Creative Connection theme is LOVE IS IN THE AIR.  SPOILER ALERT!  For this project, I am giving you a sneak peek at some new products coming next week with the launch of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue.  I am so in love with the Field of Flowers stamp set and coordinating Confetti Flowers Border Punch, which I have used to create this card that reads, "Always... in my heart".

Field of Flowers Friendship Love Card

Bundles: Field of Flowers Stamp Set + Confetti Flowers Border Punch (photopolymer: 154108).  Ink: Granny Apple Green (147095), Daffodil Delight (147094), Crushed Curry (147087), Highland Heather (147103).  Card/Paper: Granny Apple Green (147014), Daffodil Delight (121680), Whisper White (106549), Whisper White Thick (140490).  Accessories: Rhinestone Basic Jewels (141337).  Tools: Stamping Sponges (141337), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430).  Other: Post-It Notes.

To create this card I stamped the beautiful, bold "Always..." onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock, masked it with Post-It Notes, and sponged either side with Granny Apple Green ink.  Before removing the Post-It Note masks, I stamped the grass and dragonfly above the words, also in Granny Apple Green ink.  I then set to work creating these pretty blossoms to create a field of wildflowers.  In the Field of Flowers stamp set there is a single stamp that has a scattering of six flowers.  Conveniently, these flowers perfectly match the new Confetti Flowers Border Punch.  So, I stamped the flowers three times; once each in Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, and Highland Heather onto Whisper White cardstock and then punched them out...

To bring these pretty flower heads to life, I laid them on the Stampin' Pierce Mat and used the stylus attachment for the Take Your Pick Tool to "draw" circles in the middle of the flowers, which makes the petals lift into a bowl-shape.

I am looking forward to playing more with the lovely Field of Flowers stamp set and coordinating Confetti Flowers Border Punch from the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue.  These products are available to order from next Wednesday, 3 June.
