Through Stampin’ Up!, I was fortunate to earn the Mediterranean Incentive Trip in May 2016 (less than 1% of all demonstrators earn the Incentive Trip each year!). It was our first-ever trip to Europe and the furthest we had ever travelled, so Stephen and I decided to extend our holiday to include a week in Paris, in spring! The Parisian Blossoms Suite was the perfect choice to capture our memories of Paris.

This selfie photo was taken from Trocadero Square on the evening we took a magical, scenic boat ride down the Seine River and, as I was creating this, I was reliving the memory of that fabulous time.
The Parisian Blossoms Suite is all about love, romance, spring-time blossoms, French motifs, with some travel imagery thrown in, which was perfect for this framed artwork. Here it is out of the frame, so you can see some of the details...
The focus of this page is the photo, so I framed it with die-cut blossoms and underlined it with the beautiful Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Paper. I also added a scattering of Champagne Rhinestone Jewels to bring out the champagne foil accents in the designer paper.
Before I began this piece, I had a vision of replicating the Eiffel Tower from the photo in the background of the page. So I die-cut an Eiffel Tower from a piece of Window Sheet to use as a mask. I laid the Eiffel Tower mask over Whisper White 12" x 12" cardstock and slathered Shimmery White Embossing Paste over it with a wide pallet knife, then lifted the mask off. I was going for a rustic, unfinished, plastered look, so I didn't try to apply the embossing paste evenly. And, because the embossing paste is white-on-white, it has a lovely subtle, background finish with a pretty shimmer.
If you've been following my projects here for a while, you will know that I don't do a lot of memory keeping projects, but lately, I've been enjoying creating one-off pieces. The Parisian Blossoms Suite was the inspirational nudge I needed to capture our memories of Paris in a creative way.
