Here's something a little different using the very versatile Painted Harvest stamp set. The sunflower from this set is not stamped in traditional yellows, but tone-on-tone using Early Espresso ink stamped onto Wood Textures Designer Series Paper. I really love how this turned out, especially how the sunflower looks like it's part of the wood grain...

So that the stamped sunflower stands out from the wood grain on this gorgeous designer paper, I stamped the detailed sunflower image in Early Espresso ink first. I then inked the larger sunflower image and flower centre in Early Espresso ink, stamped them off on a scrap of paper, then stamped the images onto my card. This stamping-off technique is perfect for when you are only using one ink colour, giving the sunflower image a lot of detail and depth without getting "muddy".
